Deutsch Nepal is the solo industrial/dark ambient project of Swede Peter Andersson alias Lina Der Baby Doll General (ex-Njurmännen).
Works
Under the name Deutsch Nepal, Andersson has issued eight studio albums, a couple of singles, the originally tape-only Silent Trilogy (on the Italian label, Old Europa Cafe), which was eventually re-issued as a CD box-set and The Very Top Of Lina Baby Doll 12". He also contributed to various compilations and released split CDs with In Slaughter Natives, The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud, Der Blutharsch, Reutoff and a split 7" with P.A.L. In 2008 he released the Dystopian Partycollection CD which contained material previously only available on compilations and vinyl-only EPs.
Side projects
Andersson was also invlolved in some side projects over the years:
- Frozen Faces - A harsher solo project, which he did while most of his equipment was broken. He released two albums (one on CD and LP and one on cassette only), plus a 7" and a 10" vinyl using this name.
- Janitor - A joint project with BJNilsen, with two CDs and a four track 12" EP.
- Bocksholm - His project with Peter Andersson of Raison d'être, who is also Swedish, has the same name and was grown up in Boxholm. They released four studio and one live albums on CD and Live Archive 1, a collection of live material as a digital-only release.

Deutsch Nepal ist das bekannteste Musikprojekt und Pseudonym des schwedischen Industrial- und Dark-Ambient-Musikers Peter Andersson. Darüber hinaus veröffentlicht er auch unter den Projektnamen Frozen Faces und Lina Baby Doll. Als Bocksholm veröffentlicht Andersson gemeinsam mit dem Musiker gleichen Namens Peter Andersson, der wie er im südschwedischen Boxholm aufwuchs.
Werdegang
Andersson war Mitglied der schwedischen Industrial-Band Njurmännen. 1991 veröffentlichte er sein Debütalbum Deflagration of Hell unter dem Alias Deutsch Nepal. Der Projektname geht auf das gleichnamige Stück aus dem Album Wolf City der Krautrock-Band Amon Düül II aus dem Jahr 1972 zurück.
Es folgten zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen auf Plattenlabels wie Staalplaat, Cold Meat Industry und Old Europa Cafe. Andersson betreibt das Metal-Label Entartete Musikk.
Piero Scaruffi zählt Deutsch Nepal neben In Slaughter Natives und Raison D'Etre zur „Generation der Klang-Konstruktivisten der frühen 1990er Jahre“.
