(last.fm) The beginnings of project Endless Asylum, date back to year 2008, when the Dr. Sathorys E. (Der Blaue Reiter, Narsilion, Lugburz, Edram) starts a new musical chapter, inspired in the obscure side of the human mind, her passion about the psicology and the lost world of the abandoned places. Not much later, in year 2009, Sathorys E. records his first four songs inspired in her photography project about urban ruins "Silent Places”. A dark journey across the solitude, sadness and eternal silence. this songs allows them to get their first deal with the spanish label Caustic Records. After signing with Caustic, the band moves down to distant art creation studios again to give shape to their first full-length album entitled “beyond mental illness", a conceptual vision about the famous lunatic hospital Danvers state hospital. A mental prison, beyond the human reason, where the death was the most obscure patient and the light only a dream… The release of the new album was accompanied of her first video clip of this project, about the song "schizophrenia", receiving enthusiastic reviews from the public and the underground music press. this video was filmed and edited by the same artist, from the point of view of two mental patiens, with this psychiatric disorder. Before the release of her first full album, on march 2010 Endless asylum, presents your music in the stage, with the bands desideri marginis and new risen throne, performing an audiovisual show with different elements from the industry and 31 minutes of pure insane film.. In the same time, from your personal label "distant art creations", was release a especial edition in a deluxe black box, with different postal, rarities, old demos and many rare material of this project, called "desolated". This edition was limited only to 30 copies signed by the artist. Finally Endless asylum, are ready for the release of your awaited "beyond mental illness", and the beginning of the different gigs in some places of europe with great bands of the underground scene, as for example sophia.
(http://www.amboss-mag.de/reviews/Archiv2/10/r08-10/endless-asylum.html) Der Anfang des Projects ENDLESS ASYLUM kann bis in das Jahr 2008 zurückverfolgt werden, als Dr. Sathorys E (Der Blaue Reiter, Narsilion, Lugburz, Edram) ein neues musikalisches Kapitel aufschlägt, inspiriert durch die düsteren Seiten der menschlichen Seele und der Passion für Psychologie und verlassene oder aufgegebene Städte und Orte. Wenig später, im Jahr 2009, vollendete Sathorys E. die ersten vier Stücke, die vom Photographieprojekt "Silent Places" über Geisterstädte handelte. Eine düstere Reise durch Einsamkeit, Trauer und ewige Stille.
Die Musikstücke verschafften einen ersten Vertrag bei dem spanischen Label Caustic Records. Danach zog sich die Band ins Studio zurück, um ihrem ersten Longplayer "Beyond Metal Illness" zu arbeiten, welcher ein Konzeptalbum über die berühmte Heilanstalt Danvers State Hospital darstellt. Eine Anstalt für Geisteskranke jenseits des menschlichen Verstandes, wo der Tod der seltsamste Patient ist und das Licht nur noch ein Traum. Alle diese Einflüsse inspirierten zu einem düsteren, schizophrenen Ambient, der großartig die Eindrücke eines solchen Ortes wiederspiegelt. So denk ich jedenfalls. Die Musik ist eine schaurige Reise durch den kranken menschlichen Geist, die auch klaustrophobische Passagen jenseits der pechschwarzen Seite des Todes beinhaltet. Aber nicht nur verzweifelte oder schaurige Töne gibt es zu hören. Auch hoffnungsvolle Klänge und Rhythmen wie bei "Beyond Mental Illness" werden mit tollen Melodien und Sounds kreiert.
Die Veröffentlichung des neuen Albums geht mit einem ersten Videoclip einher, welcher auf dem Song "Schizophrenia" beruht und enthusiastische Kritiken in der Öffentlichkeit und Undergroundpresse einheimste. Dieses Video selbst gefilmt und editiert und beleuchtet die Sichtweise zweier Patienten mit dieser psychiatrischen Erkrankung und ist auch auf der Myspace Seite der Band anzuschauen.
Gleichzeitig veröffentlichte der Künstler auf seinem eigenen Label "Distant Art Creations" die auf 30 Kopien limitierte Deluxe-Blackbox "Desolated" mit verschiedenen Raritäten, alten Demos und Postern.
Ich muss sagen nichts für schwache Nerven, aber gerade das macht den Reiz dieses Projekts aus.
Anspieltipps sind die großartigen und stimmungsvollen Stücke "Schizophrenia", "Lobotomist" und "Beyond Mental Illness". Wen das kalt lässt, dem ist nur noch im Danvers State Hospital zu helfen,.
