(official homepage) The French soprano Valérie Suty presently resides in Germany where she sings with many Opera Houses and Orchestras. In 1998 she made her debut as a mezzo soprano at the Komische Oper Berlin as Smeraldine in " The Love for Three Oranges " by S. Prokofiev . Many engagements followed in Germany , France and Belgium before she switched in 2003 to dramatic soprano.
Since then she has appeared as Elettra ( "Idomeneo " by Mozart ) at the National Opera of Zagreb, Rosalinde ( "Die Fledermaus " Johann Strauss ) at the Gran Teatro Castel Alvez of Brazil, Salome (Strauss) , Sieglinde (Wagner) , Santuzza ( Mascagni ) , Aida (Verdi) , as the Lady in Hindemith's Cardillac , Kát'a Kabanová (L. Janacek ) and as Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk ( Shostakovich) on numerous German stages including Dortmund , Oldenburg , Gera , Passau , Bremen and Saarbrücken. In 2013 she received for her outstanding performance in Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk in Gera the Oscar of the Theatre Academy .
Ms. Suty is also successful as a concert artist appearing in such chamber music projects as Kafka Fragments for voice and violin by György Kurtag and in her recording, Elegy for the jewish villages with compositions by Viktor Ullmann, Maurice Ravel, Simon Laks, und Hugo Weisgall (piano: V. Stoupel; published by EDA ) . Performances in the classical concert repertoire include Bruckner's Mass in f minor in the Frauenkirche in Dresden and Schubert's Mass in E-flat major in the Berlin Philharmonie . In July 2013 she was heard at the Seoul Arts Center with Korean-symphonic songs.
She also regularly performs with her large repertoire of Lieder and French "mélodies" .
Ms. Suty has collaborated with such well known stage directors as Andreas Homoki , Christine Mielitz , Kay Kuntze , Frank Hilbrich , Sebastian Ukena and such conductors as Mikhail Jurowski , Fabrice Bollon and Niksa Bareza .
Before her vocal studies , she completed a Master of Musicology at the University of Paris. Her vocal teachers were KS Uta Priew and (at the studio of the Komische Oper Berlin) Marianne Fischer-Kupfer. Since 2005 she has been working regularly with the dramatic soprano Evelyn Herlitzius.

2003 entschied sie sich für den Fachwechsel zum jugendlich-dramatischen Sopran.
Seitdem gastierte sie als Elettra ("Idomeneo" von W.A.Mozart) an der National Oper Zagreb, als Rosalinde ("Die Fledermaus", Johann Strauß) im Gran Teatro Castel Alvez in Brasilien und ist u.a. als Salome (R. Für ihre außerordentliche Leistung als Lady Macbeth von Mzensk (D. Schostakovitsch) erhielt sie 2013 in Gera den Theater-Oscar.
Als Konzertsängerin ist sie ebenfalls erfolgreich unterwegs.
Mit kammermusikalischen Projekten wie z. B "Kafka Fragmente" für Gesang und Geige von Györgi Kurtag, die Aufnahme "Elegy for the jewish villages" mit verfemter Musik (Klavier: V. Stoupel, erschienen bei EDA) oder mit klassischen Konzertwerken wie z.B Bruckners f-moll Messe in der Frauenkirche Dresden, Schuberts E-Dur-Messe in der Berliner Philharmonie.
Im Juli 2013 gastierte sie im Seoul Arts Center mit koreanisch-symphonischen Liedern.
Regelmäßig tritt sie mit ihrem vielfältigen Lied-Repertoire auf.
Sie arbeitete u.a. mit Regisseuren wie Andreas Homoki, Christine Mielitz, Kay Kuntze, Frank Hilbrich, Sebastian Ukena
und Dirigenten wie Michail Jurowski, Fabrice Bollon, Niksa Bareza.
Vor ihrem Gesangsstudium absolvierte sie einen Master der Musikwissenschaften an der Universität Paris. Prägend für ihre Stimmentwicklung waren ihre Lehrerinnen KS Uta Priew und Marianne Fischer-Kupfer (am Studio der Komischen Oper Berlin).
Seit 2005 ist die dramatische Sopranistin Evelyn Herlitzius ihre Lehrerin und Mentorin.
