Argine was formed in October 1992 with a post-punk background, over time enriched by acoustic and intimist shades and by electronic contaminations, to get a personal musical blend of classical, neofolk, gothic, punk, new wave elements.

Argine's discography includes five full-lenght LPs, plus Eps and live albums, and countless compilations with labels all over the world. The live activity is focused on maintaining a direct link with public, therefore including international festivals but even smaller clubs where the punk attitude emerges.

In the nearly thirthy years of activity, many are the musicians that joined Argine and gave their unique contribution, both for a longer cooperation or a single day recording with a special instrument. Each one of them has been very important and made the band forge its sound and evolve over the years.

Argine cooperated in studio and on stage with prominent figures of the Italian underground musical scene: Federico Fiumani (Diaframma), Cristiano Santini (Disciplinatha), Lucia Vitrone (Contropotere), Elena Previdi (Camerata Mediolanense).
