(http://www.endless-promotion.de/html/thefairsex.htm) THE FAIR SEX is founded in late 1984 in Essen/Ruhrpott/Germany/Europe. Quite early the band found their very own, most unique way to combine guitars and electronics, to mingle EBM and Gothic, Wave and Rock elements.
Songs like "Bushman", "No Excuse", "Not Now. Not Here." achieve classical status and the band is still mentioned for being an inspiration to other bands and artists.
In the early years of the new century the combo re-appears with the new release "TFS", play festivals, tours and single shows and start a collaboration with The Invincible Spirit (c.f. The Invincible Sex).
During the last years TFS members are involved in different other projects. Rascal is busy with his band Rotersand and Myk releases a ballad album in 2006, works with the Industrial Metal band Schuldt and is at the moment focussed on his work as author ("The Lord Of The Earrings" / "The Hobbnit") and readings.

Das Nebeneinander von Gitarre und Synthie-Sequenzen bestimmt schon in den frühen Jahren den Sound der Band, die als Vorreiter der deutschen Indie/Dark Szene gilt. Stilistische Elemente aus EBM, Gothic, Wave und Rock verschmelzen zu jenem originalen Durcheinander, das zum typischen The Fair Sex-Stil avanciert.
Songs wie "Bushman", "No Excuse", "Not Now. Not Here." gelten als Kult und die Band wird immer wieder als Inspiration zahlreicher namhafter Bands und Künstler genannt.
The Fair Sex tauchen in den frühen Jahren des neuen Jahrtausends wieder aus der Versenkung auf, veröffentlichen mit "TFS" ein neues, umjubeltes Album, spielen zahlreiche Festivals, Tourneen und Einzelshows und kollaborieren mit The Invincible Spirit (s. The Invincible Sex).
In den letzten Jahren hat sich Rascal vornehmlich seiner Band Rotersand gewidmet und Myk veröfffentlichte 2006 sein Balladenalbum, arbeitete mit der Industrial Metal Band Schuldt und ist momentan auf seine Arbeit als Autor (u.a. "Der Herr der Ohrringe" / "Der Hobbknick") und Lesungen fokussiert.
