THY ANTICHRIST rises in august 1998 in Medellin, Colombia - South America, based upon the Friederich Nietszche book "The Antichrist". Andres Vargas (Antichrist 666) is the founder member and lead singer frontman, musical director, manager and lyrics composer.
Andres 'Antichrist 666' has created a unique performance into the Black Metal genre with a sui generis corpse paint which is the trademark of the band. This kind of performance is recognized in the underground around the world.

mmer wenn man denkt, man hätte schon alles gesehen und gehört…kommt plötzlich eine Band namens Thy Antichrist um die Ecke. Die Nordamerikaner schlagen in ihrer Heimat schon seit 1998 hohe Wellen und schicken sich nun an, den Underground endgültig hinter sich zu lassen: so war man etwa 2015 Teil der „70.000 Tons Of Metal“-Cruise.
Thy Antichrist‘s Musik und Performance ist absolut einzigartig im Black Metal Genre. Ihre bisherigen Alben genießen auch in Europa bei Kennern hohen Status, den nun Wrath of the beast mit großen Schritten ausbauen wird!
Klirrende Gitarrenkaskaden skandinavischer Schwarzmetall-Prägung treffen hier auf thrashige Anleihen und progressiven Wahnwitz, den man am ehesten noch Voivod zuschreiben könnte. Aleister Crowley thront über purer Dissonanz, und schäumende Raserei paart sich mit experimentellem Songwriting. Ein blasphemisches Kleinod!
