A SPELL INSIDE are doing music quite for a while. The members - knowing each other from school - grew up in the late 80ies which influenced them a lot. With their very special mixture of Synth-Pop, Wave and Dark Rock they caused quiet a stir at once. As a consequence the first record-contract was signed soon. The MCD „Return to grey“ entered the so-called „dark scene“ and one thing led to another. Only one year later the album „Visions from the Inside“ was released. As a cause A SPELL INSIDE was not only got to know in Germany but in whole western Europe. Many live-shows followed with e.g. „The Merry Thoughts, „And One“, „De Vision“ or „Second Decay“ only to name a few. Then there arose some personal problems with the label so that the band stopped cooperation. It took awhile before they found on Dark Dimension their new home in 2004. The first result could be heard on the album „Vitalizer“ which sounded more electronic than before. Maybe because of that the Scandinavians fell in love with A SPELL INSIDE too. Until now the band has been playing several shows in Sweden and Finland. After a heavy studio break about four years the long awaited new album „Autopilot“ was released in summer 2014. The album and the single „Frei sein“ went directly into the german DAC and GEWC charts (with highest position on 1 and 4) and stayed there the maximum amount of weeks. In the GEWC annual charts „Autopilot“ was listed on position 18. In december 2014 A SPELL INSIDE supported „Diary of Dreams“ on their winter tour through Germany and brought their sound to a bigger audience. Currently the band is working on their new album that is planned to be released in 2019.

A SPELL INSIDE blicken bereits auf eine längere Band-Geschichte zurück. Geprägt vom Geist der 80er gründete sich die Band schon zu den Schulzeiten ihrer Mitglieder, wo sie mit einer Mischung aus Synth-Pop, Wave und Dark Rock schnell für überregionales Aufsehen sorgte. Ein erster Plattenvertrag war die Folge. Und mit der MCD „Return to grey“ setzte man gleich ein Ausrufezeichen in der Szene, so dass bereits ein Jahr später das erste Fulltime- Album „Visions from the Inside“ erschien. Auch wegen des Tracks „Sinnbild“ schafften es A SPELL INSIDE in kürzester Zeit, nicht nur in Deutschland sondern in ganz Europa bekannt zu werden. Auftritte u.a. mit „The Merry Thoughts, „And One“, „De Vision“ oder „Second Decay“ waren nur einige der Live-Stationen. Leider setzten Label- Querelen dem guten Weg ein jähes Ende und so musste sich die Band über Jahre umorientieren und fand schließlich auf Dark Dimension eine neue Label-Heimat. Vom Sound war man inzwischen deutlich elektronischer geworden, was auf dem 2004 veröffentlichten Album „Vitalizer“ hörbar wurde. Zeitgleich entdeckten die Skandinavier ihre Liebe für A SPELL INSIDE. Mit der Folge, dass bis heute zahlreiche Auftritte in Schweden und Finnland zu verzeichnen sind. Nach fünf Jahren erschien im Sommer 2014 mit „Autopilot“ endlich der lang erwartete und nunmehr sechste Longplayer der Band . Das Album schaffte es auf Anhieb in die deutschen GEWC und DAC Charts mit Höchstplatzierungen auf 1 und 4. Die Single „Frei sein“ brachte es bis auf Position 2 und kann bis heute über 10 Tausend Youtube Clicks für sich verzeichnen, die völlig ohne bezahlte Werbung zustande kamen. Das Jahr 2014 schloss man mit einer kleinen Deutschland-Tour gemeinsam mit „Diary of Dreams“ ab. Aktuell arbeit die Band an ihrem nächsten Album, das 2019 erscheinen soll.
