URZE DE LUME embody a homage to the past. Inspired by Iberian traditions, their music aims to celebrate the roots which identify a people and bind them to their land.
Founded in 2009, the band has recently become the Portuguese flagship for a new wave of like-minded projects currently spreading across Europe, who have embraced ancient ways and spirituality as both a starting point and a beacon for their incursions into Folk music.
Their repertoire transmits the surviving soul of an era in which man and nature walked hand in hand, with respect for the land, the occult and its origins.
Iberian ethnic instruments such as bagpipes, war drums, horns and various ancient stringed instruments provide the roots that burrow deep into the rich Lusitanian soil to nourish URZE DE LUME’s powerful and unique sound.

Über URZE DE LUME
URZE DE LUME ist eine Hommage an die Vergangenheit. Inspiriert von iberischen Traditionen, zielt ihre Musik darauf ab, die Wurzeln zu feiern, die ein Volk identifizieren und an sein Land binden.
Gegründet im Jahr 2009, wurde die Band vor kurzem zum portugiesischen Flaggschiff für eine neue Welle gleichgesinnter Projekte, die sich derzeit in ganz Europa ausbreiten. Sie haben alte Wege und Spiritualität als Ausgangspunkt und Leuchtfeuer für ihre Einfälle in die Volksmusik angenommen.
Ihr Repertoire überträgt die überlebende Seele einer Ära, in der Mensch und Natur Hand in Hand gingen, mit Respekt für das Land, das Okkulte und seine Ursprünge.
Iberische ethnische Instrumente wie Dudelsäcke, Kriegstrommeln, Hörner und verschiedene antike Saiteninstrumente liefern die Wurzeln, die tief in den reichen Lusitanischen Boden eindringen, um URZE DE LUMEs kraftvollen und einzigartigen Klang zu nähren, dessen aggressiver Ton das Publikum bei den Live-Auftritten der Band entzündet.
