Pamela Coats, has been a prize-winner in competitions in Germany, Italy, and the USA, and is a founding member of the International Chamber Artists, which include members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She is also the artistic director of the VivazzA Ensemble. Ms. Coats works regularly as a chamber musician and has played in the Beethoven Hall in Bonn, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Ella Fitzgerald Hall, and in the Chicago Cultural Center. Her orchestral experience includes opera and symphony programs as well as radio productions with the WDR Music Festival, National Public Radio of Chicago as well as the Rome Festival. Since 2014, Pamela Coats has played in productions with the German Opera on the Rhine (Deutschen Oper am Rhein).
Pamela Coats has earned degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Bachelor of Arts), DePaul University (Master of Music) as well as the Conservatory of Music in Cologne, (Artist´s Diploma) Germany. Her teachers have included Ulf Rodenhäuser (former principal clarinettist, Berliner Philharmonic and SWR Orchestra), Adolf Münten (co-principal clarinettist, Düsseldorf Symphony), John Bruce Yeh (co-principal clarinettist, Chicago Symphony), Dr. Kelly Burke (principal clarinettist, Greensboro Symphony).

Durch ihre vielseitigen Auftritte hat sich die Klarinettistin Pamela Coats (USA) einen Namen gemacht.
