Irresistible, the sound of the band has something fascinating, a feeling of madness and power which arise from a direct experiment. Martial rhytms, cold piano sounds, marchingdrums in rolls, huge bells on stage, atmospheric guitars and strange choral voices emerging from hell, all are the flag of our fears, and a ceaseless reference to the essential questions: the Why and it's mysteries.

Rosa Crux ist eine französische Musikformation aus dem Dark-Wave-Umfeld, die 1984 in Rouen gegründet wurde. Die Band vereint in ihren Werken Rockmusik mit neoklassischen Elementen. Charakteristisch sind zudem die liturgischen Texte und esoterischen Formeln in lateinischer Sprache sowie die aufwändig gestalteten Bühnenshows.
Ein Konzert von Rosa Crux ist eine Performance-Darbietung, die unter Anderem den körperlichen Schmerz thematisiert.
Ein Glockenspiel, wie es auf einem Kirchturm üblich ist, gibt dem Schauspiel etwas Sakrales, mechanische Tambouren und Pauken, die direkt aus dem Atelier von Leonardo da Vinci zu kommen scheinen, etwas Mystisches. Dies spielt auf die Dualität der Paradoxen an. Es ist von Antonin Artaud inspiriert, der die Widersprüchlichkeit des Theaters anprangerte.
Die Gruppe bezeichnet ihren Stil als Dark Ritual, im Bereich Industrial. Sie steht dabei aber unter einem großen Einfluss der Musik der sakralen Kunst, da sie, wie zum Beispiel Virgin Prunes und The Moon lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud, das Ritual des Heidentums in der Szene ganz stark thematisiert.
Seit 2006 sind sie beim deutschen Label Trisol unter Vertrag.
