With it's nouveau Minimal-Wave & Coldwave sound Detachments' eponymous debut album (produced by vintage-synth aficionado James Ford) garnered them an international underground following. The album is steeped with existential undertones and an austere, dystopian outlook.

Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order joined Detachments onstage playing bass at a performance for Salford Foundation Trust/Tony Wilson Awards which lead to the release of the Fade EP on Hacienda Records.

2014 saw the release of the Endgame EP which received critical acclaim from the likes of Music Week, Spindle and Clash Magazine (Track of the Day).

In 2015 Lost Patrols was made available - a collection of lost and found recordings predating all previous releases.

2018 - Detachments sign to Young & Cold Records. The group's highly anticipated new mini-LP (rumoured to be entitled "Chain of Command") is scheduled for an early autumn release.

Detachments continually receive invites to make live appearances in Europe's more discerning, Cold-wave compatible clubs and festival stages.
